Scott Stieger – Guitar I am the newest member of the Wild Oatz crew, joining the group around April of '09. I have been playing guitar since I was around 12 but got serious about it when the big hair heavy metal sound came out in the 80's. That is when I met Scott (the drummer) and I joined the band he was in, Split Decision, and played with them for a year or so until we broke up. That was the first band I have played with and the last until last year when called a few guys and we formed No Problem. Earlier this year No Problem was taking a break so over a couple dozen Cherry Bombs with Scott Jeffries after a Motley Crüe concert, he asked me if I would be interested in trying out for a guitarist spot in Wild Oatz. I had never really listened to country music prior to that but after 12 Cherry Bombs who says no, right? I am sure glad I said yes and got hooked up with this group. Every one of them is an accomplished musician and becoming a great friend. I am getting excited to write songs with these guys. I am new to songwriting but I really enjoy it. We are playing a song I wrote now and I am looking forward to recording it with the band. When you have a singer like Megan how can you go wrong! My musical influences are Eddie Van Halen, Nuno Bettencourt, Joe Perry, Sammy Hagar and a lot of other big hair bands. I still play my old Kramer guitar from that era - I just like its sound and feel. My roots are rock and roll but these guys are starting to bring me over to the other side.
